Day 15 – I am not on my mountain…
I came to a revelation that I am not on my mountain. I am laboring in vain to climb my mountain, but I do not own a mountain. It’s not mine. At best, I could pile-up some rocks and call them a mound. But a mountain? No way. I can make a lot of little obstacles to be in my way, but not a mountain. I surrender to the fact that the mountain belongs to the Grand Overall Designer (GOD) and when I reach the top, it still will not belong to me. I cannot claim it.
Thus, the idea within my head that I created this mountain, that I created the journey up the mountain, and that success is when I own the mountain… is pure arrogance.
The mountain was there before me, and it will be there after me. I know now, that the mountain called me, and not the other way around.
I have been treating this mountain, and this journey, like it was my business. I just realized I don’t own the business, which make me a bad employee because there were days when I did not show up for work with 100%. I thought I owned the business, so I could take a break or go easy. Na-Na, I’m not the boss… I don’t own this business. I must remind myself of one simple fact…
I am not on ‘My’ mountain…
