Day 2 – I am walking new paths.

Day 2 – I am walking new paths.

The paths we take in life lead us to some wonderful and exciting location. Sometimes you must blaze a path and other times the path is laid out in front of you – complete with hand rails and rubber matting. When I look at the Empowerment Mentoring program, The John Maxwell Team’s Mastermind program, The John Maxwell Team’s Leadership Game, and Paul Martinelli’s workshop on Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich … I see a path that is well built and set in the right direction to success. The image in this picture is of the boardwalk along the Russian River in Alaska. It leads to one of the premier fishing spots in the world. It is am amazing place and the trail was built to maintain the river from the thousands of people that visit it each year. The trail takes you right to where you want to go – sometimes growth is a lot easier when you have a vision of what you want, a path to take you there, a coach to help you stay the course, and a good mentor who shares their experiences with you. You do not have to go alone… and you do not have to be afraid to walk new paths…

New Beginnings –

Day 1 – I am beginning a new…

Our challenge upon returning from Turning Point Seminar was to dig deep and assess who we are from the inside out. John Maxwell, says that, “you must know yourself to grow yourself.” Our challenge was to state an ‘I Am’ every day, for 90-days. It was a wonderful journey of discovery. However, I was not being intentional as the days went along. I started building my posts on Sunday for the whole week. I thought that would make it easier. But, easier was not the mission. The mission was to make a discipline of thinking and writing every day; not creating mass productions. I stopped at day 44. But, I refused to ‘start over.’

I hate the words ‘starting over’ – when you are climbing a mountain and you get sidetracked on a path that does not lead to the top, you don’t stop and go back to the bottom of the mountain. You may backtrack some, but you don’t go all the way back. You learned a lot getting to this point on the mountain, do not surrender it. In most cases, you just change directions from where you are and keep climbing. Make a new path, start your own trail, make a new beginning from where you are. It’s your journey, no need to follow everyone else’s path – be a trail-blazer.

On this journey of 90-days, I am not starting over, I am not going back. My trailhead starts from where I am at – right now!

I am beginning a new…

Added note:

I love the John Maxwell’s, ‘Minute with Maxwell’, that I linked to below. There is always anticipation to changing directions, to becoming a trail-blazer, to exploring where you have not gone. That is what makes it exciting.  Here is John Maxwell’s – Minute with Maxwell – Beginnings

‘All’s well that ends well’ – I prefer – ‘All’s well that starts well!’ Thanks John.

Now off to the races!!! I am Beginning a new…
